10 years ago, I was a part of a band called Night of Elegance. As I once wrote the Portland Mercury in attempts to get some pub, "We celebrate the downtrodden, the uncertain, and the sweet guitar riff." These songs are of a very specific time and mindset, which few dare (or care) to delve. We only got around to an EP worth of studio tracks prior to disbanding, and I was left with some undelivered progeny from this era. 2023 found me entering the modern world of home recording, which gave me chance to turn those left behind. "Walker" and "Bad Teacher" were both tracked sans drums in Winter 2023. Now, with an electronic drum kit in tow, I was able to wrap them up with mostly competent beats. The 2014 demos were done in Eugene, with me on guitar, drums and lead vocals, and Daniel Williams on bass and back up vocal. All praise to Daniel and Dr. Snake for us riding that rickety roller coaster together.
